This home uses a good amount of steel as primary structural support. Secondary support was provided through "Link to Truss Joist" silent floors, with 7/8 inch gyp-crete sub floors. This treatment extends the strength of the stone to other senses besides the sight, and helps immeasurably in controlling material shrinkage as the building reposes into its site. |
Square Forton resin cast columns and bases were produced, this assures no cracks at the mitre joints. The final color was impregnated in the Forton castings, guaranteeing no painting maintenance. All of this was installed surrounding square steel columns, which were placed inside for protection, and structural support.
